Last week, delegates from PTSC and PVEP visited the JDR Cables Hartlepool facility for a progress update on the manufacture of products for their Dai Hung Phase 3 Project in Vietnam. Dai Hung oilfield (Mỏ Đại Hùng in Vietnamese) is an oil field northwest of Nam Con Son Basin, Vietnamese offshore, in the South China Sea.
Notably, JDR have achieved a significant milestone under this project: the successful completion of 3,020m dynamic-to-static MV Power Cable manufacturing, marking progress towards final termination and FAT. In addition to the dynamic cable, JDR is also providing all the dynamic and static hardware as part of the project which will allow the installation and operation of the power cable. The dynamic cable and its integrated hardware and accessories will be packed in a 9.2m JDR rental reel and loaded out from JDR’s deepwater quay facility in Hartlepool.
